From a Facebook page to a rescue organisation
Purely Adoptions started in 2009 as a simple Facebook page to share adoption posts for puppies, stray animals, and pets in need of new families.
What began as a small initiative quickly grew into a trusted platform that encouraged adoption and foster care within the community.
Within three years, our community grew to over 15,000 followers. As our reach expanded, so did our understanding of the challenges faced by rescuers and stray feeders in Singapore.
We realised that sharing posts alone was no longer enough.
In 2013, we began working closely with stray feeders, shelters, veterinarians, and food distributors to better support animals in need.
That same year, five newborn puppies were found trapped in a 50-metre metal pipe in the Tuas area. With no time to lose, we stepped in. This became Purely Adoptions' first hands-on rescue.
We cared for the two-week-old puppies ourselves, feeding each one by hand every three hours. It was tiring and hard, but deeply rewarding.
Watching them grow stronger showed us what is possible when we care and take action.
Today, Purely Adoptions continues to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats and dogs across Singapore. We work with fosterers, volunteers, veterinarians, and partners to give every rescue the best chance at life.
We are proud of how far we have come. We are even more committed to the lives still waiting for help.
Our commitment to rescue, care, and rehome
We respond to urgent rescue cases across Singapore, safely trapping stray and abandoned cats and dogs who need immediate help. Our trained volunteers work with feeders and the community to bring animals to safety.
Every rescued animal receives full veterinary care including vaccinations, sterilisation, treatment for injuries, and ongoing medical support. Animals stay with dedicated foster families during their recovery.
We match each rescue with a loving family through our adoption process. We run adoption drives, share available animals on social media, and support adopters along the way.
We support 17+ dedicated stray feeders across Singapore who care for community animals daily. Through food donations, vet help, and fundraising, we support these dedicated feeders in their daily work.
